Clean up the Gastrointestinal Tract

CytoFlora™

Purchase The Children's
Liver, GI & Colon Detox Kit

It is believed that as many as 75% of autistic children are affected by gastrointestinal dysfunction.  BioRay’s new cell wall lysed probiotic, Cytoflora, has been shown in clinical testing to correct microbial imbalances, drive pathogens out of the gastrointestinal tract and assist re-colonization of healthy bowel flora.  Improving digestive health is imperative for those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Research suggests a strong link between characteristics of ASD and impaired digestion, particularly with foods containing gluten and casein.

CytoFlora™ is a cell wall lysed (dead) probiotic. When the cell wall is lysed, the cytoplasm, which is the most beneficial part of probiotics, is released into the solution allowing for immediate absorption. The only cell wall lysed probiotic tincture in the world, CytoFlora™ pushes the pathogens out of the gut without breaking their cell walls, thereby avoiding the release of toxic byproducts into the system. CytoFlora™ is exceptional at restoring a healthy gut environment, enabling live probiotics to colonize. It is considered a prebiotic (which feeds good bacteria), so the colonized bacteria thrive.

A child's starting dose of CytoFlora™ is 6 drops, twice a day.  Increase by 1 drop per day up to 5 ml. (squirts), twice a day. Dosage is related to improvement. Do not use during pregnancy or while nursing unless supervised by a physician. Take CytoFlora™ between or before meals either sublingually or in 2 ounces of filtered water.

CytoFlora™ ingredients:
Cell wall lysed lactobacillus rhamnosus, bifidobacterium bifidum, lactobacillus acidophilus, bifidobacterium infantis, bifidobacterium longum, streptococcus thermophilus, lactobacillus plantarum, lactobacillus salivarius, lactobacillus reuteri, lactobacillus casei, lactobacillus bulgaricus, lactobacillus acidophilus, DDS-1 and lactobacillus sporogenes, ascorbic acid 5%, and 18% grain neutral spirits as a preservative.

Gluten and Casein Free Diet:Gluten and Casein Free Diet

Gluten is a protein found in all wheat, rye, oat, barley, spelt and kamut. Casein is a similar protein found in all dairy products including goat's milk. Many children on the autism spectrum are unable to properly break down these proteins. Defeat Autism Now recommends that every child on the spectrum be placed on a strict GFCF diet for a minimum of 3-4 months to determine if the GFCF diet is needed.

Small amounts of gluten and/or casein can cause significant reactions if a child is unable to digest these proteins. Parents describe the side effects much like someone on drugs; self stimulatory behaviors, inability to focus, spacey, irrational behaviors, distended stomach, and unhealthy bowel movements.

Enzymes:

Since many kids with autism cannot properly break down certain proteins, supplementation with enzymes is recommended.

For those who have already incorporated the diet, enzyme supplementation will still be beneficial in healing the intestines and eliminating or decreasing reactions from accidental gluten and dairy ingestion.

Improvements in appetite and gastrointestinal functions with digestive enzymes is commonly reported. With continual use, they will assist the body in healing the intestines, increasing gastrointestinal secretions, and absorbing nutrients more efficiently.
